Delete your account
You can delete your TALNTD account permanently at any time, from inside the app, without asking anyone's permission. If you can no longer sign in, you can request deletion by email instead. This page is exact about what happens.
Delete it yourself, in the app
Open TALNTD and sign in
Deletion has to be done from a signed-in session. If you cannot sign in, use the email route below instead.
Go to the Profile tab
It is the last item in the bottom navigation bar.
Scroll to the Advanced section and tap Delete Account
Advanced sits below the Support section, near the bottom of the Profile screen, just above Sign Out. The row is labelled Delete Account, with the subtitle "Permanently remove your account".
Confirm who you are
A sheet opens listing what deletion removes. If you signed up with an email address and password, type your password. If you signed up with Google or Apple, you will be asked to verify with that provider instead.
Tap Permanently Delete My Account
Deletion starts immediately. When it finishes you are signed out and returned to the login screen.
You cannot delete an account that still has active bookings. The sheet checks for them when it opens and blocks the confirm button if it finds any. Complete or cancel anything that is still pending, accepted, awaiting a quote or in progress, then come back. This protects the person on the other side of the booking, who may be waiting on work that was agreed.
Deletion covers the whole account, not one role. If you hold more than one role on the same account, for example customer and provider, deleting removes all of them together. There is no way to delete a single role.
Request deletion by email
If you have lost access to the account and cannot sign in, email [email protected] with the subject Account deletion request.
Send it from the email address on the account wherever you can, because that is the simplest way for us to confirm the request is genuine. We will verify it is you, delete the account, and email you to confirm once it is done. We will never ask you for your password, and you should not send it to us.
What is deleted
All of the following is removed permanently:
- Your profile and personal information across every role: name, email address, phone number, profile photo, country and city.
- Your saved addresses, favourites, and app preferences.
- Your notification history.
- Your service listings and the photos and videos attached to them, if you are a provider or a business.
- Photos and videos you uploaded to your own bookings.
- Your staff list and any pending staff invitations, if you are a business. Any invitations you sent or received are cancelled.
- Your entry on the staff or contractor roster of every business you were affiliated with, so you can no longer be assigned to jobs.
- Your sign-in credentials. You are signed out on every device, and the login itself no longer exists.
What is retained, and why
A small amount is kept, and only for reasons we can name. Nothing kept here is used for marketing, profiling or advertising.
Identity records, for fraud prevention
If you verified as a provider or a business, the government-issued ID and selfie you submitted at signup are retained. They are held so that an account removed for fraud or abuse cannot simply be recreated under the same identity. They are no longer linked to an active account and are not used for anything else. This is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Past bookings, in anonymised form
The booking records themselves remain, with your name replaced by "Deleted User" and your identity detached from them. They are retained to satisfy legal, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations, and because the other party to each booking has their own record of work they were involved in.
There are no payment records to retain. TALNTD does not process payments: a price agreed in the app is settled directly between the two parties, and we hold no card details, no bank details and no transaction records.
Messages inside a shared booking
Your name is removed and you appear as a deleted user. The messages themselves stay in the other person's conversation, because they are part of a shared booking record that the other party is also entitled to keep.
Reviews you wrote
Reviews stay and are shown as written by a deleted user, so that the rating of the person you reviewed does not silently change when you leave. Reviews written about you are anonymised the same way.
Support requests
Any support conversation you had with us is anonymised: your name and email are stripped from it. The record is kept for a reasonable period so we can evidence how a complaint was handled.
How long it takes
Deletion runs as soon as you confirm and normally finishes in under a minute. There is no waiting period and no cooling-off window: it starts the moment you tap the button.
Backups are rotated on a rolling basis, so any remaining copy in a backup is cleared within 30 days. A deletion requested by email is processed once we have verified the request, usually within a few business days.
This cannot be undone
Once an account is deleted it cannot be restored, by you or by us. If you sign up again later it is a new account, with no history, reviews, ratings or bookings carried over, and a provider or business role would need to be verified again from scratch.
If something specific pushed you towards deleting, we would rather hear about it and fix it. Support explains the ways to reach us, or email [email protected] directly.
